Acting Managers

An acting manager is someone who is appointed by the licensee to manage the licensed premises even though they do not hold a General Managers Certificate.

The acting manager must be replacing a certificate holding manager who is absent, or on vacation.

If the appointment is for less than two days, the only requirement is that the appointment be noted in a log book or diary.  If the appointment is for longer than 48 hours, notification must be given to the LLA, DLA and Police.  The period of appointment can be no longer than three weeks, and no more than six weeks total in any one year.
